映画をコピーした海賊版ブルーレイディスクをインターネットを使って販売したとして、大阪府警生安特捜隊と此花署は２８日、著作権法違反容疑で、兵庫県伊丹市荒牧、無職、園原博文容疑者（４６）を逮捕したと発表した。日本国際映画著作権協会によると、ブルーレイディスクを使った海賊版映画販売業者の摘発は国内初。園原容疑者は「身に覚えがない」と容疑を否認しているという。
逮捕容疑は昨年８月２５日、人気映画「アバター」などをコピーしたブルーレイディスク３枚を計２８００円でネット販売したとしている。府警は園原容疑者の自宅から、ＤＶＤなどディスク約２万３千枚と複製機器１１台などを押収した。
園原容疑者は「激安映画ランド」と称するホームページを使い、作品数百点のリストを掲載。１枚３００〜千円で販売し、「リストになくてもレンタル店にあればリクエスト可能」などと説明していた。同協会からの通報で府警が捜査していた。
